The Internet is funny and sometimes disturbing. Anonymity coupled with ill-formed opinion often try to rule the day, and maybe with a little less diligence it would.

As the owner of a jujitsu school I'm always trying to find new and interesting things for my students to experience which is what lead me to host a seminar this past weekend with two incredible people; Beijing Olympian Ari Taub teaching wrestling for MMA and Submissions101.com and 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Purple Shirt/Belt, Ari Bolden.

Students were excited and plans were firmed up, then the shit storm began.

When Hard Knocks Fighting Championship (HKFC) first started the plan was to grow an amateur Mixed Martial Arts league and feeder system into the pro’s based out of Calgary and then expand outward.

It's Friday the 13th. I don't say that to be ominous, I say that as a statement of fact — it is the day before the Alberta Jiu-Jitsu Associations Camp of Combat Arts at the Southland Leisure Centre in Calgary.

This might sound a little self-promoting (I guess because I'm helping promote this event), but this event is big news. In one place, throughout the day, participants are going to meet some of Canada's top combat artists and train with them for an hour each.

So what are some combative arts that will be at this event?
